What is the method to calculate the required sling length for a desired sling angle?

Have you ever found it challenging to determine the correct sling length for a desired horizontal sling angle?

First, you will need to know four pieces of information:

• Location of center of gravity (COG)

• Desired sling angle. ASME B30.9 now calls the horizontal sling angle the angle of loading.
